SECRETS BEHIND SPOTLESS HEALTHY SKIN : GLAMISHA SKINCARE RANGE

Hello all my lovely viewers,

Hope you all are having a great time. So I am here again with another review Sunday. Today I will be reviewing skincare products from a Indian brand GLAMISHA. These days when everyone is over hyped with the foreign makeup and beauty products and spending thousands of money in shipping and customs, these indie brands are going great and coming up with so many interesting good quality products which can easily give a tough competition to the expensive foreign products.

Glamisha is a Indigenous skin care brand. All of their products are 100% paraben free. The products are easily available online. Today I will be reviewing 2 of their products.

GLAMISHA FACEWASH

The Glamisha facewash is a gentle and mild cleanser. The product is rich in Mulberry and Licorice extracts which nourishes the skin. Mulberry is rich in Vitamin C, it helps n rejuvenating skin and also prevents early ageing and fine lines. The product also contains glycerin and aloevera extracts which actually doesnot need further mention to state how much beneficial they are for our skin.

Packaging: The product comes in a tube packaging with squeezing applicator and is very convenient for usage, as well as so much travel friendly.

Price: It product retails for Rs350/- for 100ml of product which is on the affordable side.

Nature and consistency: The face wash is gel like in consistency but not very thick, rather on a runny side. It has a beautiful soothing and fresh fragrance, neither too strong nor too mild. It lathers up quiet well on my face.

Usage: I use the face wash during my shower as well as before going to bed. A coin size amount is sufficient for the whole face. The face wash lathers up quiet well in a few seconds. I massage it gently on my skin for good 1 to 2 minutes in upward circular motion and then rinse it off with cold water. My face feels fresh and clean instantly. The product is not very drying and doesn't strip off the natural layer of oil from our face.

Pros:
1.       Gentle and mild cleanser
2.       Doesnot strip off the natural oil from face
3.       Not drying at all
4.       Moisturises the face very well
5.       Lathers up well
6.       Suitable for normal to dry skin

Cons:
1.       Doesnot take off your makeup sufficiently. So u need to remove your makeup with a makeup remover, before  cleansing your face with this facewash
2.       It is not a deep cleanser
3.       Doesnot control the oil production by skin. Hence not uch suitable for oily skin.
4.       It takes a bit more time to rinse off. It may feel a slight greasy if not rinsed off adequately.
5.       Not suitable for oily skin

GLAMISHA SKIN LIGHTENING CREAM

The Glamisha skin lightening cream is a nourishing face cream with spot and pigmentation reduction benefits. The product is rich in Kojlic acid Dipalmitate and Arbutin. The product is paraben free and hence doesnot cause extra harm to our skin.

Packaging: Like that of the face wash this product also has a similar tube packaging with squeezing applicator only in a different colour.

Price: The product retails for Rs975/- for 100gm of product, which I feel is a bit overpriced.
Nature and consistency: The cream is thick in consistency. First when it is applied it feels a bit greasy and gives a white cast on face, on gently massaging it sits well in the skin giving a semi-matte finish. If may feel a bit sticky on skin if more than required amount of product is applied.

Usage: I use it as a night cream. A pea size amount of product is sufficient. First I warm up the product a bit by rubbing in between my fingers and apply it all over my clean face massaging it in gentle circular motion. I have pigmentation and acne marks on my cheek areas, so I try to concentrate on that region mainly. If you have a dry or normal skin you need to moisturize your face beforehand with a nourishing moisturizer before applying this cream, or u can mix this cream with any other nourishing moisturizer.

Pros
1.       Decrease pigmentation and acne marks reasonable. You need to use it consistently before you can see any noticeable change in your skin.
2.       Cooling effect on skin

Cons
1.       I personally did not like the texture of the cream. It feels stickky on the face even after massaging adeuately.
2.       If you have a sensitive skin you may have some breakouts.
3.       Not enough moisturising. You need to apply a separate moisturuiser if you are from dry skin family.
4.       Difficult to work with as a base under makeup or foundation

So the Skin care range from Glamisha receives 3 points from my side out of 5. I liked the facewash a lot and it is already a part of my daily skincare routine for winter. But the skin lightening cream did not work upto my expectations.

You can buy the products from their official sitewww.glamisha.com/store/
and also the products are available on Flipkart.

[DISCLAIMER: PLEASE DO A PATCH TEST BEFORE APPLYING ANY OF THESE PRODUCTS ON YOUR SKIN EVERY ONE HAS A DIFFERENT SKIN TEXTURE AND TYPE, HENCE EVERY PRODUCT ACTS DIFFERENTLY ON EACH ONE OF US.]
