DURGA PUJA / NAVARATRI OUTFIT IDEAS

Finally my favorite time of the year is here. The festive season is almost knocking at the doors and the whole of the town is all decked up to bid a warm welcome to Maa Durga. We all Indian look forward for this time of the year as it comes with so much for us. This is the season of colours, creativity, celebrations and happiness. Starting from Durga Puja , Navaratri, Diwali the glamorous and beautiful festive season adds that touch of refreshment in our lives that we thrive for the rest of the year. This is not only the time of festivity, but also the time of confluence of different cultures and rituals, time of getting in touch with all our near and dear ones, time of enlightening the Indian traditions.

Festive Fashion is literally a huge arena of concern for particularly girls like us. Women irrespective of their age, culture and tradition dreams of getting themselves dressed up in the best way possible during this season of festivals. Be it a peppy western outfit or a beautiful traditional sari…we Indian girls know how to attract all the attention towards us during this festivity.

So today I will be sharing a few outfit ideas for this Festive season.I  personally prefer dressing up in all ethnic gorgeous Indian outfit especially during this time as it brings out the essence of our culture and traditions. The ethnic touch to the outfit makes a girl/woman look like the diva she is!
In this post I have collaborated with 3 of my friends and put forward some traditional looks that will be perfect to rock this Pujo.

SHOSHTHI
This is officially the 1st day of the Durga puja festival, when Ma durga arrives. For the shoshthi look I have selected this white hand-loom sari with red and yellow block prints. I have paired this sari with the kalamkari printed blouse. The outfit is very comfortable for a daytime look and looks quite elegant. To complete the look I went for the  golden bangle set and kept the look simple and classic.

SAPTAMI
Saptami is the day of fun and celebrations. To rock the saptami look this shocking pink Georgette sari does the work. For this all glamed up blingy look the pink Georgette sari with golden sequined border is paired with the golden blouse with net detailing. The golden tassel earring adds the perfect edge to the look. Wanna go for a night out with your friends?....this glamorous look will make u the queen for that night.

ASHTAMI
This the most auspicious day of the 5 days of durgapuja.People  adorning themselves in all new clothes and gathering early in the morning to offer Anjali to Maa durga. The Ashtami morning outfit is surely incomplete without this traditional Matka sari with all over block prints. It is paired with these black sleeveless mandarin collared blouse. The meenakari jhumka goes perfectly with this traditional and classic look.

The Ashtami night being depicted by its grandeur and royalty, I have decided to go for this black gorgeous Dhakai Jamdani sari pairing it with this beautiful pearl jewellery set. This look is my personal favorite of the all. The Jamdani sari endorsing one of  India’s oldest cultural heritage symbolizes the occasion perfectly and is also very light and comfortable to carry on.

NAVAMI
Getting bored with the traditional sari look? Lets try something new. Indo- western fusion outfit is the current trend on the go. These beautiful printed silk skirts glams up the look. To add the touch of fusion basic monochrome tops are the best to go with. The look is completed with the gorgeous gold jewellery. This simple yet glamorous look is very much wearable and good do go for those who are not a big fan of wearing saris on all occasions.

DASHAMI
End to every good thing is inevitable. But lets end this mood of festivity in a fashionable way, breaking all rules and flying high. The golden sequinned lehenga  paired up with the peacock green choli does the work of a showstopper for the day. The touch of golden motif jewelley with stone detailing makes the look even more glamorous.
