THE TALES OF KOLKATA FASHION WALK : EXPLORING THE LANES OF KOLKATA

Hello everyone, today I am here to share with you all my experience at a very exciting event that was organised at our very own city Kolkata just a few days back. The event was named as KOLKATA FASHION WALK (part2). The name itself brings about the uniqueness of the event, isn't it?
We all have heard about heritage walk, food walk…but fashion walk, r u serious? Yes, guys this was my first reaction as well. But participating in the event was truly one of my most cherrishable memories as a fashion and beauty blogger.

KOLKATA FASHION WALK, being able to attain huge success in its 1st edition, was organised again for the 2nd time on 2nd of September 2017, with a bigger goal and involving more influencers and brands. The event was organised by Tribonista and The Swiss laundry in association with Nikita Agarwal (pentwister).

The event involved 24 successful bloggers of Kolkata including me with the agenda of interactive session between the bloggers and discussions related to a successful blog and at the same time exhibit the indigenous fashion of Kolkata and digging into the current trends.
The event started with a panel discussion, the key speakers being some of the eminent bloggers of the city namely –

The discussion was followed by a team event in collaboration with POOCH BOX www.poochbox.in. The bloggers were supplied with varieties of props and the team making best use of that prop to pose for a cause was declared to be the winner. So, yes guys…my team won the game. All credits goes to the team leader Poorna Banerjee and the other team members Pushpak Sen, Prapti Chowdhury, Pooja Dasgupta and Kinkinee.


Finally it was time for the major attraction of the day, the treasure hunt event. In course of the treasure hunt we walked through the lanes of Kolkata visiting several fashion destinations in town including some the exquisite designer stores as well. ELGIN ROAD was selected to b the ideal fashion destination of the city as it is embellished with some of the best designer stores and fashion hubs in each and every nook and corner. The stores that were being covered in the walk are as follows



1.       BANDHANI-    It is a a designer store by Siddharth Daga and has an exquisite collection of bridal and party wear. The major attarction of the store is their beautiful Bandhni saris which catches your eyes.                  Address: 16 Sarat Bose road

2.       PRANAY BAIDYA ATELIER: the creations by the renowned kolkata based fashion designer Pranay Baidya. The uniqueness of his collection lies in the fusion of ethnicity and contemporary with a touch of traditional Kolkata style.    Address: 4 Allenby Road

Thus the exciting walk ended and all of us were contended with happy hearts and tired feet.  In the course of this beautifully managed event  we not only got exposed to new ideas and trends of fashion but also got a preview of the exquisite collection of several brands. A really appreciate this venture organised by TRIBONISTA (www.tribonista.com)  and THE SWISS LAUNDRY(www.theswisslaundry.com)  and hope for more such upcoming events.
