2 DAYS IN MUMBAI : EXPLORING DREAMS

People say, Mumbai is the city of dreams. Drenched by the untamed waves of the Arabian sea, the city harbors millions of dreams besides being the economic hub of the country.

So, my 1st time visit to the magnificent city couldn't be anything less than a priceless experience. Rather than jumping on to some of the popular touristy itineraries available all over the internet, I decided to make an itinerary of my own in order to explore the core essence of the city.

DAY 1

The trip started with the most visited and loved spot of the city, the JUHU BEACH. Soaking in the April sun and getting tanned like nothing ever, was actually not a pleasant thing to do for obvious reasons.
But the heart melting 'pav bhaji' and freezing Icegola made the start quite delightful indeed.

Keeping behind all the celebrity adorned streets of Bandra( Bandstand ), my next stop was undoubtedly Mannat ( SRK's house). Being a die-hard Shah Rukh fan, getting a picture clicked in front of Mannat was nothing less than ticking a life goal off the bucket-list.

The setting sun down the western coast line and the pleasant breeze made my evening delightful enough to get rid of all the tiredness.

DAY 2

If in Mumbai you can never miss out on the Gateway of India, signifying one of the greatest cultural
heritage of India.

The touch of ancient Indian roots gets more glorified by modern India's tale of bravery and sacrifices symbolized by the horrific bloodshed at the Taj standing just like a historic witness of the 26/11 Mumbai attack.
This followed an exquisite shopping session at the Colaba causway, which is a paradise for shopping freaks like me of course.

The next destination was the one which I was probably the most excited about, it is nothing other than the world famous Marine Drive. The splashing sea waves against the gigantic rocks and the pleasant breeze with the unreal view of the whole city would make your evening a memorable one indeed.

FOOD THAT YOU CANT MISS WHEN IN MUMBAI

  • The world famous Mumbai pav bhaji
  • Ice gola at the Juhu beach
  • Lucky's biriyani at Bandra
  • Rustom's parsi ice cream sandwich near Marine drive
  • Jai jawan at the Linking road Bandra

SHOP AT YOUR BEST

  • Linking road and Hill road Bandra
  • Collaba causway
  • Infinity Mall( if you want some amazing sale on the famous brands)
  • Palladium mall ( some of the world' most high ends brands are available here)

So that was a my 2 day trip to Mumbai all about. I hope this information would be helpful if you are planning to visit the city soon. Don't forget to comment down and let me know your favorite spot if you have already to been to Mumbai.

Love

XOXO
